Privacy policy

Super 8mm Log does not collect any data.

There is no account, no sign-up, and no server. Everything you enter (cartridges, serial numbers, photos of labels and footage counters, notes, lab shipments, settings) is stored on your iPhone, in the app, and stays there. CraftedbyHansen LLC cannot see it.

Camera

The app uses your camera to read cartridge barcodes and to photograph labels and your camera's footage counter. Those photos are saved in the app on your phone. They are not uploaded.

Photos

If you choose an existing photo of your footage counter, the app reads only the photo you pick, and only to save it with that cartridge.

Reading the footage counter

The app works out the reading using Apple's on-device intelligence, which runs on your iPhone. The photo is not sent over the internet.

Notifications

If you turn on the low-stock reminder, notifications are scheduled locally on your phone.

No analytics, no tracking, no advertising

The app includes no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs that collect data.

Links out of the app

Tapping Buy opens a retailer's website in your browser, and tapping a tracking number opens the carrier's website. Those sites are run by other companies and have their own privacy policies. The app sends them nothing about you beyond the search you tapped.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. CraftedbyHansen LLC never sees your payment details.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
